What is May Fes. Awards
May Fes. Awards is an official project by the Committee. It decides outstandingly attractive projects of the festival based on votes from visitors.

How to Vote
You can evaluate each project from the five grades shown below. Each project can only be voted once.
5 points: Best one! 4 points: My favorite! 3 points: Awesome. 2 points: Good. 1 point: Not bad.
In addition, you can comment on projects when you vote (optional). Please fill in your impression and encouragement by all means.
You can vote from the “May Fes. Awards Voting Page”. It can be accessed from a button on each project details page. The project details page of each project can be searched on Search Projects. On the project details page, the rating of the project at that time is shown as a development process.
Visitors on campus can also vote at two Voting Stations. One is near Main Gate, and the other is at Faculty of Medicine Plaza. Please refer to the map below for the location.
When You Vote…
You can play a lottery at Voting Stations. The number of times you can play will increase according to the number of projects you have voted for, so please vote for as many projects as you like!
Get Special Prizes!
In addition to prizes depending on the result of the lottery, there will be special prizes for visitors who have voted for more than 8 projects. Winning an attractive item will definitely be a memorable part of the May Festival! Please note that the prizes will end as soon as they run out.
Announcement of the Results
Midterm Announcement
The results will be posted on the official SNS and this page on May 18th (Sat.) at around 7 PM.
Final Announcement
The first-place projects of the Grand Prix and Freshman Class Category will be announced at Grand Finale on May 19th (Sun.) 5:25 PM at Central Stage, with members of both projects coming on to the stage. The overall results including the six categories will be announced on the official SNS and this page on May 19th (Sun.) at around 6 PM.
Awarded Projects
Awards will be given in several categories as follows. The Grand Prix, Semi-Grand Prix and the top three places in each category will be awarded as the top projects.
The Grand Prix and Semi-Grand Prix
Among all the projects participating in the festival, the project which earned the highest rating will be awarded the Grand Prix, and the second place the Semi-Grand Prix.
Performance Category
This category is for projects which offer live performances that visitors can enjoy on the spot.
Academic Category
This category is for projects with academic contents that would be unique to UTokyo.
Participatory Category
This category is for projects that allow visitors to participate in hands-on experiences.
Food Category
This category is for projects that provide food and drinks to visitors.
Exhibition Category
This category is for projects that focus on displaying works they made for the Festival.
Freshman Class Category
This category is for projects that are held by freshman classes, whose members are newly enrolled.
