About this organization

The University of Tokyo Wind Ensemble

We, the University of Tokyo Wind Ensemble, are an intercollegiate brass band club based on the Hongo Campus of the University of Tokyo, with a total of about 100 members from first-year students to fourth-year students. We have many opportunities to perform, including the May Festival, Komaba Festival, and the regular concert at the end of the year, etc. Although we do not participate in competitions, we enjoy music and work seriously every time for each concert. And, we have the "on-off" system, which means that not everyone plays all the pieces, but the pieces are divided up according to preference. This allows each member to spend more time on the piece, which improves the quality of the performance. In addition, we also have the opportunity to play small ensembles at the In-Club ensemble concert and at the summer/spring training camps . Our club is based on the University of Tokyo. However, being an intercollegiate club, rhere are also members who come from other universities. At the University of Tokyo Wind Ensemble, you would have the oppurtunity to meet and interact with a wide variety of people. We invite you to join us, the University of Tokyo Wind Ensemble, where you can create wonderful music in an environment and enjoy music in its purest form.
