Please obtain an entrance ticket prior to visiting the Festival. *Please note that there are some projects that require additional reservation.
Please refrain from visiting the Festival if:
you test positive for COVID-19 on or after May 7 (Sat.);
you come in close contact with someone with COVID-19 on or
after May 7 (Sat.) AND are not confirmed negative by a
pharmaceutical-approved test or a PCR test.
We will not ask you to provide a negative COVID-19 test
result upon entry.
If you experience any symptoms listed down below on or after May 7 (Sat.), please refrain from visiting the Festival (in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare):\
body temperature of 37.5°C or above
sore throat
loss of smell or taste
fatigue
diarrhea
headache
If you fit any of the below conditions, please refrain from visiting the Festival due to the high risk of infection:\
you have returned or entered Japan from overseas and are required to undergo mandatory quarantine as determined by the government;
you or a person living with you have experienced a fever or other cold-like symptoms within 8 days;
you have underlying medical conditions such as diabetes, heart failure, respiratory disease (COPD, etc.), or are currently undergoing dialysis,or using immunosuppressive or anticancer drugs;
you consider yourself to be at high risk of serious symptoms.
Safety Rules on the Days of the Festival
Take your temperature at home and make sure it is normal (below 37.5°C) before coming. If you are not feeling well, please refrain from visiting the Festival.
Face masks must be worn at all times. *Please note that we reserve the right to bar access to anyone not wearing a face mask.
Please clean your hands with soap and water or with hand sanitizer before entering the campus premises as well as campus buildings.
Stay at least 1 meter apart from other people.
To avoid the Three Cs, please refrain from staying in the campus premises after you are done viewing projects.
Please refrain from drinking and going to social gatherings before and after your visit, and return home as soon as possible after your visit. Do not drink alcohol on campus. *Please note that if you have consumed alcohol prior to your visit, you will not be allowed to enter. If you are found to be under the influence of alcohol after entering the premises, you will be asked to leave.
Please observe the designated time and place of entry when visiting the Festival.
In principle, please finish your meal before coming to the campus and do not eat or drink in public areas around the campuses (beverages without lids are not allowed). Drinking water for hydration purposes is allowed.
When entering, exiting, or viewing the Festival, please follow the instructions of the May Festival Standing Committee members to ensure the safe and smooth operation of the Festival.
Visitors are requested to avoid contact with other visitors, performing groups, and performers.
Please refrain from cheering loudly during the Festival.
After the Festival
If you test positive for COVID-19 by May 22 (Sun.) after
visiting the Festival, please report to
by email to that effect.
