Toward Diversity

About this project

Introduction of shining female students and researchers at UTokyo

From past to present, we will introduce you to the activities of female students and researchers at Todai and the efforts of their supporters, through poster displays and videos. Although the focus usually tends to be on the small percentage of women at UTokyo, we hope to spread awareness through examples that there are already many female researchers who are shining brightly.

Introduction of Toward Diversity

We are a student group that conducts research and outreach activities with the goal of making UTokyo a more comfortable environment for a diverse range of researchers and students, with a focus on gender equality. Even though the absolute number of senior female students and faculty members is small, we disseminate information through the creation of interview articles and videos and the planning of various events, so that the younger generation of female students can concretely imagine themselves as researchers in the future. Also, we hope that UTokyo community members can understand that gender equality is not only for women but also benefits all members of UTokyo, including men. Some of our activities will be introduced at our exihibition site.

We hope that those who hesitate to express their opinions about gender equality will feel free to come and have a casual talk with us :).

About this organization

Toward Diversity

We are a student group that conducts research and outreach activities with the goal of making UTokyo a more comfortable environment for a diverse range of researchers and students. Our members are of different nationalities and majors, and we aim to understand and solve issues surrounding the campus environment, especially those related to gender equality. In addition, we also aim to have fun, and to enjoy developing our interests beyond our main academic research, alongside other members:)
