Drinking Alcohol
May Festival is one of the few school festivals where alcohol can be enjoyed.
We kindly request your cooperation with the “Alcohol Pass System” to prevent underage drinking and any risks of drinking accidents.
Alcohol Pass System
- When purchasing or carrying alcohol on campuses, it is required to wear a wristband-style Alcohol Pass.
- The Alcohol Pass is also required when purchasing alcohol at stores on campuses, such as convenience stores.
- Each Alcohol Pass has three checkboxes, and each time you purchase alcohol, the provider will mark a checkbox.
Issuance and Reissuance of the Alcohol Pass
- The Alcohol Pass is issued at all Information Centers.
- A total of 7 Information Centers are located on campuses.
- Please refer to the map below for Information Centers. The 'i' icons on the map represent Information Centers.
- Please present a photo ID that verifies your age when issuing the Alcohol Pass.
- The Alcohol Pass is valid only on the day of issuance.
- The Alcohol Pass will become invalid if all checkboxes are filled, if it is damaged, or if it is transferred to others.
- If you wish to have your Alcohol Pass reissued, please bring the invalidated pass and a photo ID that verifies your age to Information Centers again.
- If the Committee member determines continued drinking to be unsafe, the reissuance of the Alcohol Pass may be denied.
- The issuance of the Alcohol Pass is free.
Notes
- Please do not transfer purchased alcohol to others. Also, please refrain from bulk buying alcohol.
- Please do not chug alcohol, force others to drink, and consume alcohol before driving.
- If disruptive behavior is observed, you may be asked to leave the campuses.
- Please consider your health and refrain from excessive drinking.
- Please do not bring alcohol into campuses.
- If it is found that alcohol has been brought into campuses from outside, the Committee may take the alcohol.
