Notes on Visiting the Festival

  • For access to Hongo and Yayoi campuses, please check Access and Campus Map.
  • Due to the limited number of official brochures, one copy per group will be given out. Please understand that distribution may end when all copies are given out.
  • Please refrain from visiting us by car, motorcycle, bicycle, scooter, or other vehicles. Please walk or use public transportation. Passing through the campuses by bicycle or kickboard is prohibited as well.
  • On the day of the festival, you cannot bring pets indoors except for assistance dogs.
  • Please check Accessibility for details on accessibility services.
  • For groups of 15 or more, please contact us in advance by sending an email to contact[at]gogatsusai.jp (please replace [at] with @).

Notes on Campuses

  • Please take your garbage to outdoor Garbage Stations. Please see Environmental Measures (in Japanese) for more information about sorting garbage and environmental measures.
  • Smoking is prohibited during the May Festival anywhere on campuses including smoking areas.
  • To purchase or carry alcoholic beverages on campuses, please wear a wristband-style Alcohol Pass that is issued at all Information Centers. For more information, please see Drinking Alcohol.

If You Need Help

  • Information Centers are available to assist you when looking for certain facilities or projects, and Committee members can help with lost items and missing children. For details on the services provided at Information Centers, please see Information Center, Lost and Found, Missing Children.
  • FAQs are listed on FAQ.
  • If you feel unwell on campuses, please let the nearest Committee member wearing a blue jacket know.
